Day 3: So this is Canada, Eh!?!

Once again we got another Bradley late start-didn't leave "camp" until 11:00AM! Headed into the city of Regina for more supplies . . . I know, what else could we possibly need. . . how about a lantern, couple flashlights, and a radio! After that, we stopped to fill-up the gas tank . . . gas was $1.09 per liter and ended up costing us $115.00! UFFTA! From there we headed over to Moose Jaw to "Past Time Old Time Photography & Gifts". We decided to get a picture in "western" wear - Allison and Laurie were total babes and of course, Scott was one handsome dude! After selecting our photos, we went to look for a place to purchase postcard stamps. We finally found a "Postal Station" and were surprised to find out that not only can you purchase postage, but you could also get a driver's license or rent an apartment - talk about one-stop-shopping! After leaving Moose Jaw we continued to drive through more "North Dakota like" landscape - lots of hard spring wheat fields! Allison took her turn at driving - and took about 10 years off our life span! Scott consumed about 1/2 pound of peanut M&M's under the extreme stress (No not on the plan, but as you know Scott is on a "modified" plan at this time!) (Oh and by the way, Dairy Queen has a yummy grilled chicken salad that fits right in "the plan" . . . it's the luscious Blizzards that aren't part of the plan!! But hey, we are on vacation!! :-) We decided to eat dinner in Medicine Hat at a Perkin's. Bet you didn't know that in Canada they dot the i in Perkin's with a maple leaf! While driving out of Medicine Hat, we saw 5-6 antelope. We continued our journey on to Brooks, Alberta and the Dinosaur Provincial Park. We pulled into the campground around 7:30 PM - just enough time to buy some firewood before they closed at 8:00PM. Located our site and set up. Allison made another dandy fire. We topped off the evening with Jiffy Pop popcorn made over the gas grill and a rousing game of "Wild Card" rummy. Believe it or not, we covered 420 miles today! Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds.
